Thank you for taking part in the South Yorkshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) consultation.
The LNRS is a long-term plan to help restore nature, improve biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience and connect more people with nature across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.
This consultation builds on feedback already gathered through previous engagement activities, workshops, farmer events, public events and online surveys involving over 1,800 contributions from people and organisations across South Yorkshire.

- the overall direction of the strategy
- nature recovery priorities
- how nature recovery should be delivered
- what matters most to communities across South Yorkshire
- where action should be prioritised.
We also want to understand whether this consultation has:
- increased awareness of nature recovery in South Yorkshire
- improved understanding of South Yorkshire’s landscapes and wildlife
- encouraged people to take future action for nature recovery.
All responses will be treated confidentially and analysed anonymously.
